If you take a wander over to
you'll see my piece Mermaids Lament(above) featured in her journal [link] I'm so proud to see a piece of my work up there amongst some deviously fabulous art, and am very grateful to her for picking my work as a means of advertising her stock.
In the Pipeline Artwise, there are a few things that are in various stages of development right now.
I've just ordered myself a canvas and some new oil paints for a project involving a piece of poetry that I'd like to present a visual representation of. This is a long term piece of work, and I doubt it'll be complete until much later in the year. I also have, partially sketched, what will be a mixed media painting of a mermaid. I plan on using pastels and water colours, but will experiment with them first to see just how they interact. I really don't want to start something then find that the combination doesn't work at all!

I found this piece one day as I was browsing through DA and it's simple beauty really caught my eye. I love the colour scheme, love the imaginative composition and the fact that it works....don't ask me how but it just does. So a round of applause for ~alys for creating such a visually stunning work of art.
